THE KNIFE

The Knife were an experimental electronic duo out of Sweden. I wanted to show the combination of man and machine, like a cyborg. I also wanted to give it a retro/future feeling. Like a modern take on something that might have been used to advertise the movie Metropolis. I combined the very modern pattern of the headdress,with the gritty texture of the shadow on the woman's face which was inspired by the look of lithographic prints from the turn of the last century.
